Back to School Supplies Distributed Safely

On Thursday, August 20, volunteers distributed Back to School supplies to 122 students, at the Park building, following social distancing precautions. 

Under the direction of Wanda Brooks, families could either walk up or drive by to pick up the supplies, as masked and gloved volunteers loaded their car trunks or brought the boxes to them.  Kay Rager, Juana Gonzalez, Michael Driggers, Prince Rosario, Fulvia Guerra, Kate and Kazuo Tsubata, Lan Tsubata Lee, Mie Smith, Sarah Tsubata, and Rick and Ann Chilcoat helped out.

The supplies were provided by the West Lanham Hills Citizens’ Association, to support area families in education.
