Our Initiatives
The West Lanham Hills Citizens’ Association works with dedicated neighbors and volunteers to organize a wide range of community initiatives that strengthen and enrich our neighborhood. From neighborhood clean-ups and beautification projects to family fun days, holiday craft workshops, back-to-school events, outdoor movie nights, educational programs, and more, there are countless ways to make a difference.
Discover meaningful opportunities to connect with your neighbors, contribute your time and talents, and stay engaged with local initiatives and county projects. Whether through volunteerism, community events, or civic participation, there’s a place for everyone to help build a stronger, more vibrant West Lanham Hills!
Be part of our mission to strengthen community bonds and support neighbors in need. Join in on monthly game nights, “Fifth Friday” Fun Runs, and special events like holiday celebrations, back-to-school supply drives, and family movie nights hosted in collaboration with PG Park Police. Our Fun & Games Committee organizes many of these activities, while our Outreach & Communications Committee keeps everyone connected through the website, social media, and newsletter updates.
There are plenty of ways to volunteer, contribute to our food pantry, and enjoy memorable experiences with your neighbors.
Join us in caring for and enhancing our neighborhood through regular clean-ups and beautification projects. We host bi-annual Green-Up Clean-Up events and have a dedicated Gardening Committee that organizes seed swaps, maintains community garden spaces, and leads educational and beautification initiatives to make our neighborhood vibrant and welcoming.
