Prince George's county Stay-at-Home Order

Prince George’s County Stay At Home Order remains in effect through June 1st.

Msg from CEX Alsobrooks:

While you may be aware that other parts of our state are beginning to open; it is not safe for us to do so. Prince George's County has 10,400 confirmed cases and over 350 deaths. For the second week in a row, we are averaging 9 deaths per day from this virus, making it the leading cause of death among Prince Georgians. We must continue to do what's right and necessary to protect our collective health and well-being.

We all need to continue to stay at home, except for essential activities like going to the grocery store, picking up medication, checking on a family member or other permitted outdoor activities like exercising or walking.

The following guidelines are still in effect:

- Malls & Retail stores remain closed - Barber shops, beauty salons, nail parlors & tattoo parlors are included

- Bars, Gyms, movie theatres and other large entertainment & recreational venues will remain closed

- No gatherings of over 10 or more are permitted

-Dining in at Restaurants is not permitted at this time

-Houses of worship should not resume in person services but continue offering virtual worship services.

Lastly, we need everyone to continue social distancing - allowing 6 feet or more between yourself and others & wearing face coverings.

For up-to-date information about our efforts to fight COVID-19, visit our county website at MyPGC.us and if you have general coronavirus questions, please call our hotline at 301.883.6627.

Thank you so much and continue to stay safe.
