Prince George’s County Bicycle & Transportation Forum in New Carrollton

The Washington Area Bicyclist Association (WABA) and partners invite you to join us for a Prince George’s County Bicycle & Transportation Forum in New Carrollton, Thursday, August 31, 7 pm to 8:30 pm at the New Carrollton Municipal Center. Major transportation projects are reshaping New Carrollton and the surrounding area. What’s your vision for safe, bikeable, walkable streets, and what problem spots most need attention? Attend for an update and to share your views with your elected representatives.

A $20.5 million federal grant is helping fund the $47 million development of a New Carrollton transit hub, with new sidewalks and bike lanes. We have an opportunity to create safer streets for all. Share your thoughts on improvements linked to the transit hub – and bicyclist and pedestrian access and safety on Route 450, Route 410, and other major roads – with New Carrollton Mayor Katrina Dodro, Prince George’s Councilmembers Calvin Hawkins and Eric Olson, and Maryland Senator Alonzo Washington and Delegate Ashanti Martinez, as well as county and state representatives.

This event is sponsored by WABA, the Coalition for Smarter Growth, RISE Prince George's, and Greater Greater Washington.
